Thomas Point Park
Thomas Point Park is located on the Chesapeake Bay near the mouth of the South River and Fishing Creek. This small park is best known for fishing, but it is also enjoyed by visitors who enjoy a quick hike and magnificent views of the water. Historic Thomas Point Lighthouse can be seen in the distance.
Park Hours
Daily: 8 a.m. - 30 minutes before sundown or 30 minutes before Quiet Waters Park closes
Due to limited parking, passes are required to enter this park from April to October.
Daily passes become available one week prior to the desired park visit date. Monthly passes are available for purchase on the last Thursday of the month starting at 6 a.m. for the following month.
Out of Season
Thomas Point passes are only necessary from April 1 to October 30. Other times of the year, both gates are open during park operating hours.
Pass Selection
You will be asked to provide your license plate, which will be used to validate passes inside the park.

Monthly Pass | Valid for parking for the specified month. Admits the pass holder and occupants of a single, private, non-commercial vehicle to access through the second gate (with the provided gate code) and parking at the point. | $30 |

- Parking is limited. If Parking spaces are full, DO NOT block the road. You must leave space for rangers or emergency services. Please call (410) 222-1777 with concerns.
- Fishing is only permitted off of the point.
- Swimming is not permitted.
- Pets must be on a leash at all times.
- NO ALCOHOL is allowed in the park.
